1. Who we are (data controller)
Localplus ApS is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at:
Localplus ApS, 9000 Aalborg, Denmark. CVR: DK45448711. Email: support@localplus.co. Phone: +1 323-745-1634.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. Privacy questions go to support@localplus.co.
2. What we collect and why
We collect personal data in three ways:
Information you give us. When you book a demo through our calendar, we collect your name, email, phone number, and chosen time (handled by our booking provider, Cal.com). When you use our contact form or email us, we collect what you send. Legal basis: performing or preparing a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we, and the providers listed in Section 8, may collect your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring source, and similar usage data, using cookies and tags. Legal basis: your consent for analytics and marketing cookies; legitimate interest for security, basic operation, and routing you to the right regional calendar.
Client account data. When you become a client, we process the business and contact details needed to deliver the service. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
3. Services for our clients
We help businesses improve their local and AI-search visibility and manage their reviews. We do not buy, sell, or use the personal data of our clients' own customers for our own marketing, and we keep any such data confidential and only use it to deliver the service the client asked for. Where we process data on a client's behalf, we act as their processor under a data processing agreement.
4. Cookies and consent
We use strictly necessary storage to make the site work, plus optional analytics and marketing cookies that only run if you allow them.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland see a consent banner on first visit and must opt in before any analytics or marketing cookie loads. Nothing non-essential runs until you choose. Simply using the site is not consent.
Everyone, anywhere, can review or change their choices at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer. Rejecting marketing there stops the advertising tags described in Section 8, including the Meta and Google tags, from running.
5. Your privacy rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it (including objecting to advertising profiling), to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email support@localplus.co. We respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Denmark this is Datatilsynet (Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, dt@datatilsynet.dk); you may also contact the authority in your own country.
6. Your choices in the United States
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, when our advertising tags (Meta and Google) run, that sharing of online identifiers for advertising measurement can count as a "sale" or "share" under some US state privacy laws.
To opt out, use the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer and reject the marketing category, or email support@localplus.co with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share." Where your state grants them, you also have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.
7. How long we keep data and how we protect it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it: booking and contact enquiries for up to 24 months; client account data for the life of the contract plus the period we are legally required to keep records; analytics and advertising data for the retention periods set by Google and Meta (typically up to 14 months for analytics); call and meeting recordings for 50 days (see our Terms, Section 5.1).
We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls, and data processing agreements with our providers. If a breach affects your rights, we will notify the relevant authority and, where required, you, without undue delay.
8. Who we share data with
We use trusted providers to run the site and business. Each only receives what it needs, under a data processing agreement:
Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads) measures site traffic and ad performance. It uses online identifiers, so it is not fully anonymous. Runs only with your analytics or marketing consent. Sets cookies such as _ga and Google Ads cookies.
Meta (the Meta Pixel, ID ending 553417) runs on our demo landing pages when you arrive from a Meta ad and you have allowed marketing. It records a page view and, if you book, a booking event, so we can measure our ads. It sets a _fbp cookie and shares these events with Meta. It does not run if you reject marketing.
Cal.com powers our demo booking and receives the name, email, phone, and time you enter.
ipinfo.io performs a one-time lookup of your IP address to show the right currency and booking calendar for your region. It is not used for advertising.
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. Close (CRM) and our SMS provider handle client communications.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for details.
9. Text messages to clients
We may text our clients for service reasons, such as order status, never marketing. We ask for consent first, and you can stop anytime by replying STOP, after which we cease text contact. We keep these numbers for the duration of the client relationship.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes affecting clients, notify them by email.
